JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Your role as our Business Analyst will be to provide strategic analysis in terms of identifying business needs, defining the business problems, analyzing business changes or identifying new opportunities for our banking clients in order to enhance their business. You will need to understand and implement new banking regulatory requirements effective to avoid regulatory issues/penalties.
  • Your primary task will include analyzing the banking business, not limited to analyzing financial data or project financial plan, but also providing our banking clients with a software solution to enhance their overall productivity, profitability and brand value and help them to stay ahead of the competition.
  • In the strategy terms, you must have banking knowledge to understand the intricacies of the business (products/services), business operations (how they are delivered) and organization culture/policies to be able to collaborate with banking stakeholders effectively. In the IT terms, you will help in defining IT strategy, and translate banking solution requirements to the technical team and monitor the development and implementation of the solutions. You should possess good IT knowledge to communicate and collaborate with IT team effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing analytical, marketing and research support to banking activities including data collection, analysis and project management;
  • Liaising with senior management, finance department and marketing, understanding business and data requirements, translating those requirements and upgrading the system and business processes;
  • Providing consulting services, planning and executing customer projects
  • Undertaking data collection, reporting on specific projects;
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and developing portfolio analysis pricing and profitability analysis in the banking business;
  • Gathering and documenting client requirements, defining existing business activities, business process flows and recommend improvements, using Agile/Scrum methodology;
  • Analyzing existing or new software systems for domains like Mortgage Banking & Finance, E-commerce, and Human Resource Management by using various tools like MS Visio, JIRA, MS Team Foundation Server/Team Services, MS Project;
  • Performing requirement gathering sessions, interviews, discussion and walkthroughs with business users;
  • Creating requirement document, process flows, uses cases and user stories for business and development teams;
  • Acting as liaison with business user and onsite/offshore implementation team
  • Developing and maintaining business acceptance criteria and participate in pre-UAT testing and demo/review of release/sprint;
  • Managing release and change management in consultation with the client to ensure scope and deliveries;
  • Participating in review sessions with business users and development teams;
  • Providing clarification to technical teams and collaborating with users for questions and understanding;
  • Providing status and progress reporting for assigned tasks to supervisors and project managers; and
  • Work with project managers to establish effort and schedule estimates

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or similar fields
  • Alternative fields of study that may be accepted: Computer Science or related.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five (5) years of experience in the offered position, or in the alternate job title of Head of IT in a Banking Environment, Head of Development or Senior Project Manager working for a Vendor for Banking Solution.
  • Prior working experience as a business analyst in the banking industry is advantageous.
